The historic Michigan Theater and State Theatre, situated in the vibrant heart of downtown Ann Arbor, MI are dedicated to film exhibition, providing a 365-day a year film program to over 7,100 members and attracting nearly 250,000. These iconic venues serve as hubs for independent films, stage productions, and musical concerts.

At the close of 2019, I produced a captivating GIF and video celebrating a cinematic decade. I curated stills and clips from prominent screenings featured at the theaters over the past decade, skillfully crafting these visuals for impactful social media and web usage.

My creative objective for this project was to evoke the nostalgic motion of vintage film reels and to artfully capture the inherent dynamism within the scenes themselves.
